Fair retrospective PSI 2010
PSI visitors are convinced by ESC’s modern printing systems
„Once again our wide product range has turned out to be an important competitive edge. No printing task we could not fulfill by offering a suitable screen, pad or digital printing machine.“, says MD Marcus Borghoff.
The visitor’s interest was focussing on digital printing systems, particularly on the ESC-DirectJet. For printing small parts such as tiles, PVC, wood, acrylic glass, CD’s etc. the DirectJet is the best solution. Fast and without the need of any pretreatment, images are directly printed onto the materials. Equipped with a 8-chamber print head which permits to print even white ink and clear coat the DirectJet is available in 3 different sizes (maximum printing sizes vary from 304 x 304 mm to 330 x 609 mm). Depending on the model the DirectJet accepts material heights ranging from 50 to 152 mm.
The high-performance ESC-AT screen printing machines for flat, oval and rotary printing which gained global acceptance due to its easy handling, represented a further center of attention.
These machines as well as the versatile ESC-KP pad printing machines are capable of printing one or more colours on a variety of materials and lend themselves to be incorporated into a production line or to be expanded to fully-automatic machines by integrating additional equipment.

Garment decorators were attracted by the fast digital printing systems which EUROPA-SIEBDRUCK-CENTRUM displayed at TV TecStyle Visions 2010 fair. Actually two innovations were in the center of attention.
The K3 is the new entry level machine out of the ESC DTG series. This device is capable of printing on both light and dark garments in a max. print size of 300 x 430 mm. As special optional feature a double shirt platen is available making it possible to print two garments at a time and thereby enlarging the printing size to 810 mm in length.
High-performance servo motors and a precision conveyor belt drive allow for high production speed. Just like the Viper the K3 is equipped with the new WIMS (White Ink Management System), a recirculation system which helps avoiding white ink sedimentation and considerably reducing maintenance costs and efforts.
The ESC-DTG PreJet is the second innovation shown at the fair, and the first inkjet-system to replace the traditional manual pre-treatment procedure by an automatic printing system. There is a permanent obligation on the user to consistently be able to repeat a consistent even coverage of the PreTreatment Solution. Without consistent even coverage of the PreTreatment Solution the effects on the printed garment are significantly often leading to poor print quality and costly disposal of the printed shirt. The PreJet as space-saving
digital system overcomes these problems. Using inkjet technology it guarantees consistency of the amount of PreTreat Solution applied and the location of that PreTreat on the shirt. The PreJet offers repeatable pretreatment results, printing traditional block coverage (420 x 297 mm) or uniquely the image area only, saving on PreTreat and improving the quality and reliability of the finished printed textile. As optional feature the PreJet can be equipped with an integrated heat press.
