1949 - 2009 ESC - 60 years of top performance
Know-how and top performance as regards printing has been our recipe for success for 60 years by now.
The wide range of systems and solutions ESC is offering for screen printing, pad printing, digital printing, dryers and conservation technology is certainly unique in its extent.
What counts the most is our customers’ satisfaction with our machines in either standard version or as custom configuration.

| 1949 | founded in Hamburg by the well-known screen printing pioneer Rudolf Trebbow, today’s ESC was moved little later to the Stietencron castle in Bad Salzuflen. |
| 1952 | the first special stencils for the furniture industry are manufactured. |
| 1960 |
the first own screen printing machines are developped. In order to supply further industrial branches, ESC produces nearly all sorts of stencils. |
| 1968 | Ulrich Borghoff, the father of the actual owner, starts to lead today’s ESC. |
| 1972 |
the company moves to the actual headquarters at Heldmanstraße. On a floor space of 3,000 m², ESC presents the first permanent exhibition of screen printing machines. Furthermore first screen printing seminars and training courses are taking place. The subsidiary company EZC EUROPA-ZEEFDRUK-CENTRUM B.V. is founded in the Netherlands city of Eindhoven. |
| 1976 | environmental protection is one of ESC’s most important matters of concern -the PERFECTA programme for environmental protection is born. |
| 1984 |
the worldwide 1000th Progress Fully-automatic Cylinder Screen Printing Machine is installed. Up to this time more than 3,000 customers from various countries have been participating in ESC’s seminars and training courses. |
| 1988 |
ESC’s domicile is extensively modernized and expanded. The exhibition area is enlarged up to 5,000 m² and becomes the most comprehensive and permanent exhibition of screen printing machinery throughout Europe. A new technology is introduced to the market: The ESC Universal Screen Printing Machines. |
| 1992 |
the constantly increasing requirements in the field of quality and speed call for new technologies: The first MULTI FORMULA Multi-colour Flat Bed Screen Printing Line withone up to five colours is presented. |
| 1995 |
printing of prefabricated parts - for grafic or industrial applications: The product line of ESC-COMEC Pad Printing Machines is on the market. |
| 1997 |
the digital future begins - ESC does a pioneer job:electrostatic printing systems for bills, banners and posters. Direct-to-Screen systems lead to film free stencil production.the co-operation with Scitex Europe starts: IDANIT Four-Colour-Digital-Printing-Machine for large formats with max. 240 m²h in combination with ESC High Performance Drying System. |
| 1999 | ESC celebrates its 50th birthday. |

Presentation of the new generation in Germany: The ESC AT-P and AT-PP High-Precision Screen Printing Machines for advanced industrial purposes |
